My life has come full circle…i think
So i went to Sharkey’s tonight because its a bar and well who couldn’t use a drink after the Monday through Thursday that I have had? So I am sitting at the bar with Will and Scotty and this random fellow comes up to me and I am quoting verbatim “Do you have any raisins?” And with a chuckle between the three of us I replied with “sorry but No” (giggle giggle) then his immediate response was “How about a date” and quickly turns to almost run away.
Now Will and Scotty both agreed this was hysterical, they were almost in tears at the hilarity they had never seen or heard anything like that before. But I on the other hand knew that phrase all too well. And while i was thinking to myself “how in the Hell did I manage to get that ‘pick up’ line twice in one lifetime?” i followed this random fellow with my eyes as he went to the back of the bar and sat at a table. The bar was crowded and i needed another drink so the three amigos returned to our conversation about God only knows what when my phone rang. I went to answer and it was my friend Chris from Pensacola. Now normally his phone call would have made my night because I haven’t talked to him in over a month and we were due for a chat. But his name appearing on my phone only added to the already suspect mind.
See here’s the background: My very last night in Pensacola I was at a bar with my sisters and some guys (Chris included) and this random gentleman came up and asked me the same raisin question. It was out of this world then and since that moment it has been a very hysterical inside joke between myself and Christopher….So just when I answer the phone turn to my left and see my long lost friend Chris in living color standing two feet from me talking on the phone to some girl - me.
He was in town for who even cares what and just happened to be in the same bar at the same time. coincidence? maybe…fate? probably not…hilarious? DEFINITELY.
So finally Florida meets Virginia and my two circles of friend collided tonight. Now if I can only mesh CAR/Florida/VaTech….my life will be complete and I can die happy…
