and the rain came tumbling down…..
I woke up on time this morning and ate breakfast with my mom. Then went to work, on time and started working (or IMing with Marianne whichever you prefer). I then trekked outside on this beautiful day lunch with Meredith in Rosslyn. It was pretty fun except for the train was late so i ended up spending two hours riding the metro and ten minutes eating, but whose counting? It was awesome seeing her, even if she did eat some of my grilled cheese sandwich.
The ride back on the metro was great, no one attacked me, recognized me, eavesdropped, kicked me, or anything it was like I was a normal person everyone ignored - just like everyone else! HA!
Then returned after lunch to the office, chatted some more with Marianne, then chatted with my new Bosnian friends….then KABOOM!! Lightning strikes the pole across the street. (That is the second time in two weeks that’s happened near me, coincidence?) The elevator in our building is the only thing attached to that pole so it immediately goes to ground level. However its’ ground level and the actual ground level are two completely different things. Kathleen was trapped between floors and the elevator kept saying “please evacuate as safely as possible” and she couldn’t and it was hysterical. Because when i say the elevator “Said” it did, we have a talking elevator. She just got out a minute ago and she is fine and we are all fine, but the sunny 80degree weather that was today is gone.
I have to go to the store with my mom today and I’m not happy about it. They evacuated national airport at 3PM today….
Today was a normal day, which in itself is abnormal for me so I chose to write about it I hope you enjoyed reading it.
