Let Teddy Win!!
Last night Marianne texted me a picture of the racing presidents. It made my day, then today while bored out of my mind at work I decided to go to the president’s webpage and play around. Under the picture of my favorite racing president, Teddy Roosevelt there was the following:
“Teddy is a mystery. Winless in ‘06, Teddy has become a crowd favorite among fans who seem baffled by his seeming inability to win. He’s got the skills, he’s got the drive, he’s got the brains, yet victory has been elusive. Maybe it’s his independent Bull-Moose spirit. Teddy doesn’t like to play by the rules. He’s been spotted in the Upper Bowl, or tossing t-shirts, or cruising in a golf cart, while his racing compatriots stick to the track. This has caused some resentment - some jealousy - from the other three. Will Teddy ever win? Pundits agree: Teddy will win. When Teddy decides to win.”
